A selection of original, hand–crafted wooden gifts
made from the Peace Oak in Sydney Gardens

Picture
The Golden Oak Peace Tree in Sydney Gardens was planted in July 1919 to mark the end of the First World War.  The cultivar originated in Ghent, Belgium which was very close to many of the battles of the Great War. It is one of the only remaining Peace Trees surviving in England.

Please note: The items, made from the Peace Oak, are turned from trimmings taken by tree surgeons to keep the tree healthy. Each piece comes with an explanation of its provenance.
